Back from Romania.

8/18 ~ I just returned back from a three week trip to Romania and Moldova. Wow. a lot to process. I put in my two weeks at Starbucks, my Aunt died and they had a memorial service for her the morning of the day I was flying back to the States. Also, it's my 29th birthday and really want to be with family right now. (my mom and dad just called and sang happy birthday :)

8/19/09 ~ Had a good day. Had voice lesson with Donna Edwards, went to my Prayer room team meeting. Miss Wendy gave us Mike B. overview of the Song of Solomon. I then had a great dinner with my special house mates- Christina and CJ. They are such a blessing. I don't know any other newly wed couple that would want someone to live with them. Not only that, they like me as a person and friend. We get along really well. God is good. I went over to visit my two pals, (who both were or are fellow Starbucks employees). We had coffee :) then they invited me to share about Romania. They wanted to pray for me and they were very encouraging. I felt God's presence near. Now I am home listening to Miss Cassie Campbell, while I wash dishes. The dog is quietly lounging in the dimly lit living room. I'm taking a break from dishes for a minute. 'sigh'.

Here's a vision of mine for the future: Living in Romania one day, with my husband. I want us to be sent by IHOP as missionaries to start a House of Prayer / light house for Exodus Cry. We will work with orphans and trafficked women. I want a coffee shop with live continual worship. Mostly acoustic, and chill. Contemplative worship/prayer. I want to have health foods/beverages and superior coffee :) I want to give jobs to endangered teenage girls, and to be their friend. I would love for my husband and I to be the ones to hold, mentor and disciple orphans, the abused, and the broken. I always want to be tied to the House of Prayer. I would love for my parents and brothers to visit and serve on work teams and ministry teams in Romania to the orphans. I pray for my Mom, Dad, John and Stephen to come to IHOP KC, and be apart of the Prayer Movement. I'm sure there's more, but I'll leave it at that for now.
~ Love Jesus, till you know He loves you, and then love others, like you have been loved by Him. Then Love Him again.

Blake

I don't know my cousin Blake super well, but I really care about him. Bless his heart. He needs some miracles and healing. He's in ICU. Wish I could be there. I have been telling all my night watch friends at IHOP (international house of prayer), to pray for him. I looked up his blog to see the updates. I cried when I clicked on the link for the definition of the procedure they are going to do on monday. Man, it breaks my heart to see the pictures of someone's leg all gashed open. I thought of what Blake must look like, and it makes me cry. So sad, and so painful. I can't even imagine. I know there isn't anything I could physically do to help, besides hugging my aunt and uncle, and offering some coffee maybe. :) I am praying all through my day. He's really been on my heart. And his little boy Tresden, Blake's brothers and family... Guys, I love you all. Never got close to my family like I would have wanted. Living overseas, kinda puts a hold on friendships sometimes. But.. I have today to love and get to know and the days ahead. God touch Blake's body right now, heal every hurt, every pain, and heal his heart. Reveal your love and your power to restore, mend and carry him through anything. Love ya Blake,
Steph

God have mercy .......

Argh. I need help guys. My house is up for rent, I am behind on my payments and in debt. I am probably making a bigger fuss about this than I need to, I know I am. God is bigger than, and mightier than, richer than... ahhhh. Show me the money is what I am thinking. errrr.... I am stuck against a rock and a hard place. My Romania funds have come in with flying colors, butttt.. on the "home" front, financial hole is getting bigger. What is God up to? Blessing on one hand and a lesson on the other? He's my rock and my fortress. So I am pretty much put in a position where I have to full on not just lean but climb up on and hold on for dear life to the rock. Ok so this isn't life or death, but it's HARD buddy. mmmmmmmmmmmmmm. .. ok, well aren't you glad you checked out my blog today!!! :) Tune in later to see the great miracle that God is doing/did/gonna do, real soon. How just when I thought it was too late, He turned it all around, because He is the God of the break through, midnight hour, perfect loving, good, good, God and father. He is my friend, He is in control, He hasn't and won't let me go. He is my Rock, and though it's painful sometimes to lean, He is steady and firm beneath my feet. I love you Lord. Show me mercy, your loving kindness, grace, grace. ~SQ

I'm back

Orphan Justice Center

Hello friends. It has been a long time since I've written. I wanted to share something I have been stirred by deeply. Here at IHOP Kansas City, there has been a revelation from the heart of the Father, to care for and take in the poor, needy, orphaned and widowed. A center for orphans is in the planning stages and I am so eager to be apart of it, I can't wait! It is called the "Orphan Justice Center". The mission will be to restore and provide stability for the children in need of healing and in search of a family of there own. A community of 24/7 night and day prayer to be their support, equestrian therapy, along with horticulture (gardens)- these are a few of the methods of therapy. Plans are being established to purchase land and get things started by this coming summer. Be in prayer for this center, and for direction as to how I will be apart of all of this.
