As I was saying, I really wanted to share the following about the Island. As we rode our bicycles on the path, to my left was the sea and to my right fields of green and little lambs grazing. This entire trip has been such a blessing. With all these sights and sounds around me, Psalm 23 came to my heart. My heart was so stirred today with the goodness of the Lord. What a blessing, what a friend He is. The Lord is my Shepherd, He has led me perfectly. The little lambs to my right baah away :) .. He leads me beside still waters, to my right the sea is so calm and still- this whole trip has been such a refreshment and I know the Lord is restoring my soul. :) As I was saying aloud, "though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death".. at my feet a dead bird! wow. " I will fear no evil for He is with me"... Just thinking ahead about South Africa... I will not fear the darkness that will surround me. He will never leave or forsake me. I really felt God was speaking Psalm 23 to me for this trip. The green pastures, the water, .... the dead bird... :) God has something good in store for this trip to South Africa. I know it. I need your prayers though, so keep them coming! ... WE left the light house, biked another 12-15 kilometers to the beach and back to the boat. We have calculated that we biked about 30 kilometers today!!! yeah, and I feel it too. Once again, a beautiful day. We stopped at Iemkje's parents again and had a BBQ with them. We met her brothers, sisters and all the in-laws etc. They are so fun :) Beautiful people. Now "home" again.
Tomorrow, Iemkje is running a 10 kilometer race! I will cheer her on:) Me and Elizabeth are going to join Iemkje's mom and watch.
So friends, I need a shower and I am going to hit the hay. :) bless you, much love
